Saint King Stefan De\u010danski, a great prayer warrior, is the son of the great King Milutin and the father of Emperor Du\u0161an. Due to slander, he was blinded, but through great faith and prayer, the Lord restored his sight through His servant, Saint Nicholas. His endowment, the Visoki De\u010dani Monastery, remains one of the most beautiful gems of Serbian architecture and fresco painting, preserving the incorrupt relics of the holy Serbian King. The great martyr Saint King Stefan De\u010danski, through his intercession before the Lord, has repeatedly protected his great endowment, the Visoki De\u010dani Monastery, which he built as a testament to the faith and glory of God.
\nA triptych is a work of art composed of three connected parts, most often painted or carved, which together form a single whole. In Christian art, especially in the Middle Ages, the triptych was used as an altarpiece or part of an iconostasis.
\nThe central part is usually the largest and depicts the main scene\u2014most often Jesus Christ, the Holy Theotokos (Mother of God), or saints of our Church.
\nThe side panels are foldable and typically feature saints, angels, or the Lord and the Theotokos.
