The icon of the Theotokos of Heaven serves as an encouragement for believers to turn to the Theotokos in difficult times, seeking comfort and assistance. The miraculous icon of the Mother of God\u2014Queen of Heaven\u2014was painted in the 17th 17th century and is located in the Vatopedi Monastery on the left side of the Cathedral church.<br \/>\nA triptych is a work of art composed of three connected parts, most often painted or carved, which together form a single whole.
